Sophie is an associate director on the Market Insights team based in London. Her focus is on the value channel in Europe, with a particular interest in the discounters Lidl and Aldi. Before joining Kantar, Sophie worked for a large UK grocery retailer, focusing on the convenience channel. She has also worked for a global management consultancy where she focused on the restaurant industry, the UK retail market, and the omnichannel shopper experience. Sophie holds a bachelor's degree in geography from the University of Leeds.
